We've created this Earth specifically with your needs in mind. We used Cinema 4D to generate a realistic planet Earth with free-use/high resolution images from NASA Visible Earth's website. The layers are important while constructing the model in many ways, but being able to offset the clouds rotation from the earth is a great way for this to feel more realistic and visually pleasing.
